From a classic story to a worldwide classic, Don Julio has grown over the past 80 years from humble roots to one of the world's most popular tequila brands.
Don Julio Gonzalez-Frausto Estrada founded what we know today as Don Julio in 1942. After learning tequila making from his uncle, Jose, Don Julio began selling only to family and friends from a small distillery in Jalisco. Today, Don Julio (NOM 1449) is produced alongside Casamigos in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco at one of the most sophisticated distilleries in the world. Atotonilco El Alto is a small town of 50,000 people located in the Jaliscan highlands. More importantly, it is also the birthplace of the brand's founder almost 100 years ago.

- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- .5 oz cinnamon syrup
- 1 tbsp sugar & 1 tbsp cinnamon for rim

- Method: On a flat plate, mix together sugar and cinnamon and then rim the edge of the glass with the mixture. Add Don Julio, fresh lime juice and cinnamon syrup to cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain liquid into the prepared glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
- Chocolate Raspberry Martini
- 2 oz Baileys Chocolate Irish Cream Liqueur
- 1 oz Don Julio Blanco
- .5 oz Simple Syrup
- 5 Fresh Raspberries
- 2 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
- Method: Add raspberries to cocktail tin and then add remaining ingredients. Shake and fine strain into coupe glass. Garnish with skewered raspberries.
